Find out what version of Zimbra you are running

Here’s the two ways that seem to be the most common ways to find the present zimbra version:

su – zimbra

from here run zmcontrol -v

in this case, it looks as though we have 8.0.6_GA on a Redhat/CentOS system, running the Free/Open Source edition.

if all you have is a backup, you can look at the following file:

this should show you something like the following:

This shows the 8.0.6_GA, but does not really say if it’s the network edition or OpenSource.
