If you want to see Tesla’s next-generation Roadster in person, Los Angeles is the place to be this weekend. The Petersen Automotive Museum will show the car in its main lobby from Saturday, October 24 through Tuesday, October 27.
What’s on display
According to the museum, it’s the same Roadster that shared the stage with Elon Musk and the Tesla team at the unveiling in McGregor, Texas earlier this month. The Petersen calls it the first time the public can see the car up close. This is the thruster-equipped version, and Drive Tesla Canada reports that Tesla’s Lars Moravy says the cold gas thrusters are built for production.
Visiting details
- Where: Petersen Automotive Museum lobby, 6060 Wilshire Blvd. (at Fairfax), Los Angeles.
- When: October 24 to 27, 2026, during museum hours of 10 AM to 6 PM daily.
- Cost: Because the car is in the lobby, Drive Tesla Canada reports no ticket is needed to see it. Check the museum’s site before you go.
Context
The Roadster has been promised since 2017, and interest in seeing a real car is high after a flashy reveal. Seeing one is not the same as getting one, though: as we noted earlier, Tesla’s reservation terms say delivery isn’t guaranteed. The Petersen has hosted Tesla vehicles before, adding a Cybertruck to its “Inside Tesla” exhibit in 2023.
