SUSE announced on October 27 that it is expanding its portfolio for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including making the entire SUSE stack available on Oracle Marketplace. The news came during Oracle AI World 2026 in Las Vegas, where SUSE is exhibiting through October 28.
What’s included
- Multi-Linux management on OCI: customers can use SUSE Multi-Linux Manager (MLM) and Multi-Linux Support (MLS) with workloads running on OCI, managing mixed Linux distributions and versions from one portal.
- SUSE AI Factory on OCI: SUSE says AI Factory is being built out as part of a portfolio deployable on OCI, linking developer workstations to OCI Compute instances for model training, augmentation and inference. It can serve as an orchestration layer in existing environments or as a complete managed stack. SUSE also highlighted support for Model Context Protocol (MCP) agentic AI workflows.
- Consolidated billing: enterprises can pay for SUSE solutions with existing Oracle Universal Credits, keeping everything on one invoice and avoiding separate procurement cycles.
SUSE says it has independently evaluated these solutions on OCI. “SUSE is focused on providing IT leaders with a frictionless, enterprise-grade foundation designed to simplify operations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments,” said Jim Sarale, SUSE’s head of global partners and industries.
Why it matters
This follows Red Hat’s own OCI expansion earlier this month, when RHEL became a first-party offering in the OCI Console. For admins running mixed Linux fleets on OCI, it means one SUSE console can manage different distributions and versions side by side, and the bill can go against existing Oracle commitments.
