Process Holding the YUM Lock?
Have a server that will not let you kill it in relation to YUM?
i had this happen today, here was the solution:
cd /var/run
do a “ls”
you should see a “yum.pid”
rm -f yum.pid
from there run a “yum clean all”
Viola! Issue has been resolved!
